Secrets of Exciting Chords and Chord Progressions is a clever and useful reference or training tool for any pianist, composer or musician.  Many books or software packages give you all these chords, put this book also provides you with many of the most common progressions, meaning you can put all these chords into practice.  This is a particularly useful feature for composers and songwriters, providing you with inspiration and giving you helpful advice on musical form.

Despite being very comprehensive at what it does, Secrets of Exciting Chords and Chord Progressions will never give you a complete piano training experience.  If you want to progress to a good level, you will need practice pieces and exercises, information on technique and specifically targeted advice.  And if you are an absolute beginner, you will want a more complete theory introduction; this book has information on chords and keys, but you will need to learn about time signatures, rhythm and more.  Having seen the other products on offer, you may also want some of the extra features available: musical history information, video and audio tutorials, or even an interactive facility.  This eBook offers none of these.

However, few resources offer such a detailed explanation and complete guide of chords and progressions.  Having them as an eBook also gives you the flexibility of printing it off, having spare copies or using it on your computer.  This really is a wise purchase, especially if you have difficulty working out the chords for yourself.  If you are a more advanced player, who wants to try a new chord-based approached, or a beginner who wants to supplement their main learning with additional lessons, Secrets of Exciting Chords and Chord Progressions could be incredibly useful.  However, we would advise you not to rely on it completely for all your learning needs and to buy a product that covers a greater variety of topics.
